Five Ingram's students chosen for WKC World Championships
Five Ingram's Karate students have been chosen to represent the United States AAU Team at the WKC World Championships for Juniors and Cadets October 22–24 in Venice, Italy.
They will be leaving Tuesday, October 19th, to compete in the World Karate Confederation (WKC) World Championships. They have been training for a year just for the team trials, then ultimately the World Championships. They will be competing in kata, kobudo and kumite. Sensei John Ingram is one of the four team coaches for the United States. There will be approximately 100 athletes from around the country on the AAU USA Team. There will be six Isshinryu representatives on this U.S. team. In addition to our five, Sensei Reese Rigby's student Nick Arndt from Delaware has also been training very hard for this event. Go Isshinryu!
Please send your prayers for the team's safety. We wish them luck, and may they all perform to their ability!
We will post the results when they return.
