2010 AAU National Championships Results
Ingram’s Karate traveled to Albany, New York for the 2010 AAU National Karate Championships, and our students did a spectacular job! We took eight National Championships! These athletes are now chosen to be on the U.S. Team to travel to Italy for the WKC World Championships.
While we were in New York, we teamed up with Sensei Scott Klinger from New Jersey to make an Isshinryu kumite team consisting of one of his black belts and two of ours. They went on to win the gold medal in team kumite — congratulations to the "Last-Minute Men"!
We want to congratulate all of you who travelled to Albany. You did a great job and represented us and your style well. For our teenage black belts, these were some of the toughest divisions we have seen in years. Many divisions had more than 30 athletes! The IKF was also there in full force and they are always top notch competitors.
Our team consisted of 18 athletes, and our total medal count was 27: eight gold, ten silver and nine bronze! Congratulations to our 2010 AAU National Champions:
